Single mom, would like to go back to school for nursing?

I have been considering going back to school for years now, and finally I am going to do it! The problem is, I don't exactly have the funds to pay for the gas to drive there and back, books, etc. My friend said that I will get paid to go to school since I'm a single mom on top of financial aide.
